August Ames (born August 23, 1994 in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, died December 5, 2017) was a Canadian porn star. She was of Polish ancestry and was one-quarter African-American. She was also known as Hailey Edwards. August committed suicide at the tragically young age of 23 on December 5, 2017, by suicide after a social media backlash following a tweet she posted, due to some perceiving the tweet as homophobic. August Ames was a lot of things. For one, she was a free spirit, meaning she let her natural impulses control her body. August's first job was working as a babysitter. Ames not only worked for two summers at a horse ranch in Colorado Springs, but also worked as a bartender and at a tanning salon prior to doing her first hardcore shoot in 2013. Her measurements were 32D-23-28.
