
He studied Graphic Design at the Universidad del Valle de México (UVM) in Mexico City and is the founder of the animation studio Llamarada. His debut film, Sin juicio (2010), participated in the Cusco International Short Film Festival in Peru; the Klik! Amsterdam Animation Festival in the Netherlands; the Mostra Udigridi Mundial de Animación in Brazil; and the Mostra Lisbon Animated Festival in Portugal, among others. His second short film, Las tardes de Tintico (2012), Best Animated Short Film at the 10th FICM, was presented at festivals such as the Havana International Film Festival in Cuba; the Cartagena de Indias International Film Festival in Colombia; and the San Francisco International Film Festival, among others. In 2013, he presented Santolo at the Valdivia International Film Festival in Chile; the International Independent Film Festival (FECI) in Colombia; and the Cinemaissi Latin American Film Festival in Finland, among others. His latest work, El jardín de las delicias (2016), Official Selection of the 14th FICM, received a Jury Mention at The Americas Film Festival New York, and has been part of the Odense Film Festival in Denmark and the Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF) in Mexico. He was a member of the animation jury at the ninth edition of the Mexico International Short Film Festival—Shorts Mexico, at the Tlanchana Film Festival 2015 in Mexico, and at the 14th edition of the Short Film Production Support Competition organized by IMCINE.
