Biography

Martin Monk (*1985 in Berlin) is a film director and screenwriter from Berlin, Germany. After initially studying history and philosophy, he turned to cinema and directed several self-produced short films. His short film Favoriten premiered at the Cinéfondation during the 72nd Cannes International Film Festival and was nominated for the German Short Film Award. He studied Directing with Michael Haneke at Film Academy Vienna and completed his M.A. in 2023.
