Themis Karamouratides (Θέμης Καραμουρατίδης) is a Greek composer, arranger and pianist known for Jamaica (2017), Snow Cookies (2023) and Ouzo Tsitsanis (2015). OThemis Karamouratidis is a contemporary Greek composer, one of the most popular of his generation, an arranger and pianist. He was born in Platy, Imathia, studied piano and higher theory, and lives and composes in Athens. He is active in discography, theater, cinema and television. He regularly collaborates on recordings and on stage with Gerasimos Evangelatos and Natassa Bofiliou. With lyricist Odysseas Ioannou, they have presented three complete discography works, with performers Vasilis Papakonstantinou, Giota Negka, Socrates Malamas and Natassa Bofiliou. His compositions have been performed and recorded by great artists such as Eleftheria Arvanitaki, Eleni Tsaligopoulou, Panos Mouzourakis, Socrates Malamas, Tania Tsanaklidou, Dimitra Galani, Melina Kana, Katerina Kouka, Eleonora Zouganelis, Christos Mastoras, etc. In the theater, he has composed music for performances directed by Yannis Kakleas, George Souleiman, Lea Maleni, Lefteris Giovanidis, Petros Filippidis, Takis Tzamargias, Elenis Gasouka, Minoas Theocharis, Pemis Zounis and others. His music for the musical “A Simple Transition”, which premiered at the National Theatre in 2019, won the 1st Athinorama Audience Award in the “Best Music” category. He also composes music for film and television productions.
