Born in Kansas City, Missouri, and raised in the secluded backwoods of Western Grove, Arkansas—his childhood shaped by the grit of working-class life. His mother, once a factory worker, became a beautician; his father put in long hours at a paper mill. After earning a criminology degree from Arkansas State University, Faught faced a life-altering moment that pushed him off the safe track. Convinced that comfort was a cage and life was slipping by, he walked away from stability and moved to Los Angeles to chase something raw, real, and uncertain. Once in the city, he immersed himself in the fringes of the film world—chasing every chance with unshakable resolve. From short films and documentaries to music videos and a Super Bowl commercial for IBM, Faught built his resume in the shadows.
