Biography

Zach Rineer is an NYC-based filmmaker hailing from Philadelphia and Delaware roots. Zach has been recognized for producing and directing work on over 30 short films featured in Nashville, Philadelphia, Santa Fe, Rehoboth Beach, and NFFTY Film Festivals. In 2022, Zach partnered with Yoni Azulay to produce the western thriller short film, Idle Speed, which was featured at the 2023 Cannes Short Film Corner and Awarded the Best Producing Undergrad Award by NYU's 2023 First Run Film Festival. Idle Speed had its public release in 2024 on Omeleto. Zach also has an extensive background in producing, writing, and directing alongside collaborator Mike Macera, on many short films, including Nobody Left Behind, which has amassed over 80k views online. In 2024, Zach took on his first narrative feature film as a producer, with Mike Macera as writer/ director, in the coming-of-age drama, Alice-Heart. The film is set to have its World Premiere at Slamdance Film Festival 2025 in Los Angeles, CA.
