Oliver Briscombe is a rising young British actor known for his performance in Alan Bennett’s The Choral (2025). Originally, from North Yorkshire, he began performing at a young age, earning early recognition for his stage work. He went on to train at MetFilm School, where he developed a strong foundation in screen acting, voice, and physical performance. Briscombe plays “Lofty,” one of the young leads in The Choral (2025), a World War I drama written by Alan Bennett and directed by Nicholas Hytner. The film, which marks Oliver Briscombe’s feature debut, is set for international release after its premiere at TIFF. Briscombe has won multiple awards for his performances in Shakespeare, Comedy, devised work, and musical theatre, most notably winning the Harrogate Competitive Festival for Music, Speech & Drama in 2023.
