    Radek Belina

    Radek Belina

    Biography

Radek Belina is a non-commercial filmmaker, actor, and Star Trek fan film producer based in the Czech Republic. He made his screenwriting and directorial debut with Can't Stop, A Star Trek Fan Production (2023), a unique tribute that honors both the legacy of Star Trek and the music of the Village People. The film blends sci-fi storytelling with disco-inspired energy, celebrating diversity, optimism, and fan creativity. Radek is a founding member and key contributor to FSFilm, a Czech fan production group focused on sci-fi, especially Star Trek-inspired stories. In addition to Can't Stop, he has produced or acted in several other FSFilm titles, including Diplomacy, A Star Trek Fan Production series (2015-2017), The Patriot (2018), Psioduel (2022), Wardens of Time (2023) and many others. Several of these films have won awards at film festivals focused on non-commercial, fan-made, and independent films in the Czech Republic, the USA, and Australia. Known for his collaborative spirit and dedication to high-quality fan productions, Radek Belina continues to explore storytelling within the Star Trek universe, driven by a love of science fiction, community filmmaking, and genre homage. Thanks to his knowledge of the sci-fi genre, especially from the 1970s to the 1990s, he participated as a producer/advisor on the documentary In Search of Tomorrow, a nostalgic journey through sci-fi films of the 1980s.
