Biography

Maurizio Margherito was born in Milan. He is a director, screenwriter, actor, director of photography, independent film producer, founder and president of the cultural association MIRACOLI&motion and artistic director of STUDIOFILM, a cinema factory about art. He directs the applied art school “Accademia Restauro Ambrosiana”. In his novels and screenplays he prefers the noir and thriller genres, using mysteries and enigmas linked to cultural heritage as a backdrop. Since 1988 he has made around twenty films and documentaries, partly visible on YouTube, on famous painters: Mantegna, Dalì, Monet, Caravaggio, Ensor, Giotto, Pieter Bruegel the Elder, Toulouse-Lautrec, Arcimboldo, Leonardo da Vinci. One of his feature films entitled "Leonardo Syndrome, passion as food for the soul" was also presented at Expo Milano in 2015. He also worked there as an actor in the role of Ludovico il Moro.
