
David Henning is a German visual effects producer at Trixter. He graduated with a diploma in design, specialising in communication design and film/video, from the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt in 2010, following earlier studies in cinematography, lighting, screenwriting, and screen production at Bond University. Early in his career, Henning co-founded MovieBrats Studios in Berlin, where he served as a creative producer and later executive producer while also contributing hands-on as a visual effects artist and compositor. During this period, he worked on a range of German and international projects including Bloodtraffick (2011), Asternauts (2012), Lost Place (2013), War of Lies (2014), Zoology (2016), Sky Hunter (2017), Mountain Miracle (2017), Simulation (2019), and Iron Sky: The Coming Race (2019). In parallel with feature and short-form work, he built extensive experience producing animation- and VFX-driven commercial content for European and Asian advertising clients, including Adidas, Bayer, Bosch, The Coca-Cola Company, KTM, Montblanc, Reebok, Siemens, and Volkswagen. In 2020, Henning relocated from Berlin to Bavaria. He joined PIXOMONDO, where he expanded his focus to high-end episodic television and feature films for the U.S. and international markets. At PIXOMONDO, he held roles including commercial producer, visual effects producer, and division VFX producer. VFX outsource manager, contributing to projects such as Kiss Me Kosher (2020), Station Eleven (2021), Upload (2020), Archive 81 (2022), House of the Dragon (2022), The Magic Flute (2022), Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023), Carnival Row (2019), and The Color Purple (2023). Henning joined Trixter in 2023 as a visual effects producer, bringing with him the perspective of a successful independent entrepreneur and seasoned producer. At Trixter, his credits include work on The Family Plan (2023), The Sandman (2022), and Avengers: Doomsday (2026).
